An Ethical Difference was established with principles in the Fair Trade movement; we have developed a more personal relationship with the people who actually produce our goods. Once a fair price has been agreed with our producers, we arrange a further ethical payment to improve the livelihoods of the grass-root workers involved and this is what we call making An Ethical Difference.
Our handcrafted jewellery ranges are all produced by artisans from the Indonesian islands of Java and Bali, the product range is made from natural materials including coconut, bead, bone, shell, wood and polished stones. All efforts are made to understand the full supply chain and identify where the real difference could be made with the ethical payment.
An Ethical Difference believes products should be sold on the strength of right product, right place and right price.
An Ethical Difference intends customers’ direct influence on fair trade will come as a by-product of quality and the desire for a particular product. We understand that now, more than ever, customers want to know the ethnics around the products they are purchasing.
We believe that if any customer were given the opportunity to decide between the same two products, same price, and same quality and in the same marketplace, they would choose the product that is ethically sourced and we hope you will too! |
